Operation Christmas Wishes

Operation Christmas Wishes is our annual holiday program where we pair up generous sponsors like you with families in need. These parents cannot afford to buy Christmas gifts for their children. Rather than them go without, parents apply to our program with information about each of their child’s wants and needs, ages, sizes they wear, etc — and you are given that list!
It’s a beautiful way for the community to come together and support one another. Last year we were able to give over 1,000 children gifts!
Birthday Sponsorship Program
Do you remember your birthdays as a kid? The party, the presents, the cake, the excitement?! SO MUCH FUN! Unfortunately, not every child gets that same experience, so we want to step in to help. Through our donors and sponsors, we are able to get gifts to make every child’s birthday a memorable one. If you need help making your child’s birthday special this year, click here.

Thursday Night Community Meals
Location: Heart Club: 821 W Chicago Ave, East Chicago, IN 46312 (entrance is around the back)
Date: Every Thursday night
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST
Whether you need a warm meal or crave time with your community, Thursday Night Community Meals is here for you. Meals will be available from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm CST to anyone in need. Just show up. If you are in a position to help, whether it’s dropping off food you’ve made or ordered or making a financial contribution toward us purchasing meals, you can do so here. We expect 60 - 100 individuals to come per event, so any help you can provide is more than appreciated!
Resource Center

We know what it’s like to have encountered tough times, but we want to remind you that whatever you’re going through today doesn’t have to be permanent.
Our new resource center has officially opened and is here to serve you. Here, you can use our laptops to apply for jobs, create resumes and apply for other local and government financial assistance you may not even know you’re eligible for at this time. We can also help you create a budget, set up a phone plan and more.
